Privacy Policy
We collect what we need to get a hat to your door and very little else. This page explains what that is and what you can ask us to do with it.

This policy covers shopdiscocowboyhats.us and any order you place with us. "We" and "us" mean the people who run this shop.
What we collect at checkout
To fill an order, we ask for:
- Your name and shipping address, so the box reaches you
- Your email address, for order confirmations, shipping updates and any questions about your order
- A phone number, if you choose to give one, for delivery issues
- The items, sizes and colors you ordered, and the order total
Payment is handled by a third-party payment processor. Your full card number goes to that processor directly and is not stored on our systems. We may receive limited details back, such as the card type, the last four digits and whether the payment went through.
What we collect when you contact us
If you email us, we keep the message and your email address so we can answer you and look back at the conversation if a follow-up comes in.
Your cart and browser local storage
Our cart is saved in your own browser using local storage. That means the hats you add stay in your cart if you close the tab and come back later on the same device and browser. This information sits on your device, not on our servers, until you check out. You can clear it at any time by emptying the cart or clearing your browser's site data.
Basic site data
Like most websites, our hosting provider may log technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you requested. We use this to keep the site running, fix errors and spot abuse.

We keep order records for as long as we need them for tax, accounting and warranty purposes, which is usually several years. Email conversations are kept for as long as they are useful for customer service. Technical logs are kept for a shorter period and then deleted. When we no longer need information, we delete it or strip out anything that identifies you.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your information, unless we have to keep it for legal or accounting reasons
- Stop sending you marketing email

Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections on every page, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the risk low by collecting as little as we can.
Children
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us data, tell us and we will delete it.
