About this hat
The short brim is what defines this shape. At 2 3/4 inches with a bound edge, it sits close to the head and pairs with a 4 1/4-inch crown pressed in a cattleman crease, the way Open Roads have been finished since 1948. The 6X fur felt gives it a smooth hand and good structure at a sensible price for the grade.
Trim is a grosgrain band with a branding-iron pin stamped JBS. A genuine leather sweatband and satin lining sit inside. Colors: Silverbelly, Brown Mix, Fawn, Black, Chocolate and Caribou. Sizes start at 6 5/8 and go to 7 3/4, all handmade in the U.S.A.

A bound-edge brim holds its line well, but don't set the hat brim-down on a table or the edge will flatten over time. Fur felt brushes clean; for a sweat line at the band, a barely damp cloth and patience do the job.
