About this hat
Not every straw needs a wide brim. The Carson keeps it to 3 3/4 inches with a medium curve, then sets a 4 3/8-inch medium cattleman crown with eyelets above it. The proportions sit close to the head, and the look is tidy enough for town.
A braided leather hat band is the only ornament, a nice change from studs and buckles. The 10X quality shantung straw comes in Natural, and genuine leather lines the sweatband. It is a unisex fit, offered from 6 3/4 to 7 3/4 with handwork done in the States. At $170 it is one of the friendlier price points among our 10X straws.

Fit & care
A shorter brim is less likely to catch wind, but it still needs to rest crown down to keep its curve. Shantung does not like soaking, so dab off rain with a towel and air dry. Size to your true measurement since straw does not stretch.
