About this hat
There's no higher felt grade on our shelves. The El Amo is made from 500X felt, which in practice means an exceptionally fine, dense finish with an almost polished feel in the hand. It's handmade in Garland, Texas.
The shape is conservative on purpose: a cattleman crown standing 4 5/8 inches, with a 4 inch brim. A matching self-felt hatband carries a silver and gold buckle branded 500X. Inside are a leather sweatband and satin liner, and the hat travels in a heavy-duty hat case. Black or Silverbelly, sizes 6 5/8 to 7 3/4.

Store it in the heavy-duty case, out of sunlight, and touch the felt only with clean hands. A very soft brush is all the cleaning it should need. Confirm your size with a cloth tape measurement before you order.
