About this hat

This is an Open Road made to look like it already has some miles on it. Each one is hand-distressed in the U.S.A., which means the color and the depth of wear vary from hat to hat, and yours may not match the photos exactly. That's the point.

The bones are standard Open Road: a 4 1/4-inch cattleman crown and a 2 3/4-inch bound-edge brim in Royal Deluxe fur felt. A grosgrain band holds a feather and a western hat pin. Genuine leather sweatband, satin liner, Stetson box. Choose Sage or Walnut, sizes 6 3/4 through 7 3/4.

Since 1948, it has been finished with a traditional, hand-pressed cattleman crease, and has been worn by modern pioneers and trailblazers ever since, from artists and outlaws to Presidents (including, most notably, LBJ, who was rarely photographed on his Texas ranch without his Open Road).
