About this hat
Roan leather is the detail to notice. It forms the sweatband of the Open Road Royal Deluxe, a version cut in Stetson's Royal Deluxe fur felt. The silhouette is unchanged: 4 1/4-inch cattleman crown, 2 3/4-inch bound-edge brim, low and compact.
A grosgrain band carries the JBS branding-iron pin, and a satin liner sits inside. Six colors are on the shelf: Silverbelly, Caribou, Natural, Cognac, Sage and Black. Fitted sizing covers 6 3/4 to 7 3/4, and like every Open Road it comes off a U.S. workbench, handmade. A Stetson hat box is included.

Roan leather softens with wear, so expect the fit to ease slightly after the first week. Keep the hat out of direct heat and give the Cognac and Natural shades a light brush after dusty days.
