About this hat

This is the hat for people who don't want theirs to look brand new. Every Boss of the Plains is hand-dyed and hand-distressed, which gives the 6X fur felt a worn-in patina and means color varies from one hat to the next. Order Assorted Brown and you'll get a shade somewhere in the brown family, picked by the dye pot rather than a swatch. Black is also offered.

The shape is a 4 5/8 inch cattleman crown with a 4 inch brim. Each one is finished with its own leather hat band, a leather sweatband and a satin liner. Sizes run wide, 6 5/8 to 7 7/8. Product photos show example hats, so yours will differ.

Fit & care

The distressed finish is meant to keep aging, so scuffs and sun only add to it. Still, brush it with a soft brush, keep it off the dashboard, and rest it on its crown so the 4 inch brim stays true. If you fall between sizes, go up and add sizing tape.
