About this hat
Palm is the work-boot leather of straw: coarser than shantung, stiffer in the hand, and far less fussy about rough days. This one is woven entirely from Mexican palm in a warm shade called Toasted Palm, then blocked into a 4 1/4-inch cattleman crown with the familiar center dent and side creases.
The 3 1/2-inch brim is shapeable, so you can steam in more curl at the sides or leave it fairly flat for shade. A leather band with a concho rides the crown, and a DRI-LEX sweatband pulls moisture away from your forehead. Sizing runs S through XL, and the hat is imported.

Letter sizes span a range of hat sizes, so if you sit on the line, size up and snug it with a foam strip. Palm handles light steam well for reshaping the brim, but let it cool and set before wearing. Keep it out of a closed truck cab in summer, where heat can loosen the blocking.
