About this hat
The name goes back to the hat's early days, when it left the factory with an open crown for the buyer to crease. Today it arrives with a hand-pressed cattleman crown, 4 inches tall and vented, the shape both Harry Truman and Lyndon B. Johnson favored.
This version uses 10X quality shantung straw in Toasted or Natural, trimmed with a brown grosgrain hatband. The 2 3/4-inch brim is short and tidy, so it works with a sport coat as easily as a work shirt. Cut unisex on a regular oval, it is sized 6 3/4 to 7 3/4 and made by hand in Garland, Texas.

Fit & care
A narrow brim bends easily, so pick the hat up gently by the front and back of the brim. Keep the vented shantung out of heavy rain when you can, and dry it slowly if it does get wet. Regular oval fits most heads; between sizes, go up and add tape.
Shipping & returns
Orders ship from the US within 1-2 business days and usually arrive in 3-6 business days. Every hat travels in a crush-proof box. Changed your mind? Send it back unworn within 30 days. Read the returns policy.
Open Road is the cowboy hat we suggest for a trip to Austin or Santa Fe, where a short brim suits city sidewalks. A disco cowboy hat can ride in your suitcase for the honky-tonk night.
